Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga Reviews. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course Ebooks!

Hey Guys! Happy Saturday and welcome to yet another edition of Stacking the Shelves 🙂 As the title suggests, today’s books are one for which I was waiting for a long time and finally they arrived! Today it is going to be a comparatively smaller post. So let’s take a ride.
I was waiting for these books for a long time now. One was a giveaway win on Instagram and I was waiting for the other to release in India. And finally, I own both these beautiful books 🙂 I mentioned a few days back in my Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag too that these were the new releases that I eagerly want to read.
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
Goodreads Blurb: Cinderella goes to the con in this fandom-fueled twist on the classic fairy tale.
Part romance, part love letter to nerd culture, and all totally adorbs, Geekerella is a fairy tale for anyone who believes in the magic of fandom. Geek girl Elle Wittimer lives and breathes Starfield, the classic sci-fi series she grew up watching with her late father. So when she sees a cosplay contest for a new Starfield movie, she has to enter. The prize? An invitation to the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball, and a meet-and-greet with the actor slated to play Federation Prince Carmindor in the reboot. With savings from her gig at the Magic Pumpkin food truck (and her dad’s old costume), Elle’s determined to win…unless her stepsisters get there first.
Teen actor Darien Freeman used to live for cons—before he was famous. Now they’re nothing but autographs and awkward meet-and-greets. Playing Carmindor is all he’s ever wanted, but the Starfield fandom has written him off as just another dumb heartthrob. As ExcelsiCon draws near, Darien feels more and more like a fake—until he meets a girl who shows him otherwise.
Since when I have seen this book on my Instagram feed, I wanted to own it. I was mesmerized by its simple yet beautiful cover and the blurb too. It’s a retelling of Cinderella and who doesn’t even love Cinderella? I hope to read it soon and I wish it is as good as its description.
The Crowns of Croswald by D.E. Night
Goodreads Blurb: In Croswald, the only thing more powerful than dark magic is one secret…
For sixteen years Ivy Lovely has been hidden behind an enchanted boundary that separates the mundane from the magical. When Ivy crosses the border, her powers awaken. Curiosity leads her crashing through a series of adventures at the Halls of Ivy, a school where students learn to master their magical blood and the power of Croswald’s mysterious gems. When Ivy’s magic—and her life—is threatened by the Dark Queen, she scrambles to unearth her history and save Croswald before the truth is swept away forever.
This is another example how Instagram greatly affect my purchase decisions 😀 I was seeing this book everywhere in my feed and I just so wanted to own it (yes partially because of its cover). Luckily there was a giveaway going on and guess what? I WON IT! Seriously I was so happy that for the first time I had won an international giveaway. But this book took a lot of time to reach me and finally it’s here. I have started reading this, but sadly I didn’t get any time to read this week 🙁 This week was so busy, I am glad that it passed.
That’s all for this week folks! Have you read any of these books before? What have you added recently to your shelves? Let me know in comments.
Leave me a link to your Stack, and I’ll check it out 🙂 I’ll be back soon with another Stacking the Shelves post.
Thanks for reading and stay connected! ♥
