Happy Tuesday guys! Today’s topic for Top Ten Tuesday is Halloween Freebie! (Happy Halloween! Let your creativity run wild with a themed post to celebrate!).

I hope you guys had wonderful Halloween πŸ™‚ We don’t celebrate Halloween here and neither do I read many spooky books. So instead of any Halloween themed list, I am taking a different take: Top ten books #bookstagram made me buy. Trust me it was very difficult for me to compile a list of just 10 books. Nowadays, most of my books purchase are based on #bookstagram only. Nevertheless, I made a list of the books which were super hyped (including book series and standalone), and yes I haven’t read any of them yet ( I know πŸ™ )

Top Ten Books #Bookstagram Made Me Buy

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya MenonThe Hate You Give by Angie ThomasA court of Thorns and RosesA Court of Mist and Furycourt-of-wings-and-ruin

1. When Dimple Met Rishi

This book was recently so hyped. This is a cute contemporary by Sandhya Menon. Its plot is typical Indian and I was amazed to see how everyone in the US, UK and other countries were enjoying this. And I really like its cover. Now, though Sandhya Menon has announced the release of her another book From Twinkle, with Love (in May 2018 πŸ˜› ), I am really hoping to read this before that. And I guess I’ll like this as I like cute Contemporaries πŸ˜€

2. The Hate U Give

I know, I haven’t read it yet (please don’t kill me!) though I should. I am definitely going to read this before this year ends. This book was on #1 spot on every list recently and it deserves to be super hyped giving the rage reviews about it. Its blurb is really good and I am sure this is going to be amazing.

3. ACOTAR series

I must admit, there was some extra hype for this series and I have never seen so much hype for any other series. It was dominating the Instagram when the third and final book in the series A Court of Wings and Ruin released earlier this year. And obviously, this hype forced me to buy it and yet I am not able to pick it up. There is some weird reason for it, not the time issue. I don’t feel myself motivated anymore to read this series! I know, it’s weird, right? But sometimes I feel that the more hyped a book is, more it withdraw me away from it. Though I love the blurb and especially the covers, I don’t see myself picking them up soon.

4. Anna and the French Kiss Series

This is another contemporary series that I am looking forward to read soon. The first book in the series, Anna and the French Kiss was super hyped a few months back. Deja on Instagram talked so much about this book, that I was forced to buy it πŸ˜€

5. Six of Crows Duology

I recently bought the first book of the duology, Six of Crows, which is currently super hyped on Instagram. I have been hearing great reviews about this series, but since it is based on Grisha Trilogy, I want to read it first in order to understand the Grishaverse better.

6. Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

This is a book which I am seeing recently getting a lot of hype. I don’t know what’s the reason for its sudden hype but I am sure this is a great read. And just look at the title, so unique, though I am not a fan of its cover.

7. Milk and Honey

I will always be thankful to Instagram for making me pay attention to this book. I was not aware of the modern poetry, but at the end of last year, it suddenly started appearing in every feed and the title intrigued me. I am so glad that I read it. Rupi Kaur is an amazing poet and Milk and Honey is a wonderful collection. I am hoping to read her second book soon.

8. Heartless

I haven’t read any book by Marissa Meyer, neither I bought any except this. And obviously because of its hype and that it is a retelling. I haven’t read many retellings so I am particularly excited about this.

9. The Bear and the Nightingale

This book got my attention after its new paperback cover released recently. Isn’t it gorgeous? Now that its sequel is going to release soon it has become a must read for me before that, though I haven’t received my copy yet πŸ™

10. Miss Laila, Armed and Dangerous

I am seeing many people purchasing this book after a great review by The Book Satchel on Instagram. She is a great reviewer and everyone trusts her recs. Also, the blurb looks fantastic, so I am eager to see how does it turn.

OMG! I have purchased at least half of these based on the hype on Instagram. ACOTAR was the only disappointing buy. I didn’t like it as much as others did. Never really picked up ACOMAF, but I have heard the series gets better from the second book.

Oh there are so many books I want to buy, just because I have seen these gorgeous covers over on Instagram and I want to have them on my shelves, too, haha. I’m always buying books whenever I’m interested in the synopsis, as well, though, even if sometimes, the temptation to just buy a book after seeing its gorgeous cover is…well, it’s hard to resist πŸ™‚ Also, all of the imagination bookstagrammers have, and the way they put together their pictures…never cease to impress me, and make me want to buy more books.
I love When Dimple Met Rishi’s cover, it is sooo pretty – i loved the book as well πŸ™‚ I can’t wait for you to read The Hate U Give – such a good and important book πŸ™‚
    Great post! xx

Oh this list speaks to me on so many levels; both because you’ve featured some of my all-time favourite books and because there are so many new releases I’ve picked up because of Bookstagram. The hype just gets me so many times, that’s why I picked up When Dimple Met Rishi earlier this year. πŸ˜€
Great picks for this week. πŸ™‚

Yes, bookstagram is definitely dangerous for that TBR, but then again it all looks so pretty! I got so many of these also because of the bookstagram hype or just the pretty covers πŸ™‚
