Stacking the Shelves #10

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga Reviews. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course Ebooks!

Dumplin'Miss laila, Armed and DangerousShadow and BoneThe Handmaid's TaleThe Sky is EverywhereHomegoing by Yaa GyasiSimon Vs. the Homo Sapiens AgendaCarry On

I was eagerly waiting for my preordered copy of Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s biography An Ordinary Life: A Memoir and it arrived just before a day he withdraw his book because of the controversy. I was lucky to get it in time. I am pretty excited about it as he is one of the most talented Indian actor. Dumplin’ recently garnered some news may be because its sequel is coming? I am not sure but when I saw it on Instagram I instantly wanted to have it. Miss Laila, Armed and Dangerous and Homegoing are books which are getting rave reviews so I am excited about it. Just look and the cover of Shadow and Bone. Isn’t it beautiful? And just look at this beauty The Handmaid’s Tale! I can’t tell you how long I waited for the price to go down for this edition. It is so beautiful and even more in person πŸ™‚ Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is clearly in the hot news these days because of its movie adaptation and I have to read this before the movie comes out, you know πŸ˜€ And for some romantic stuff, The Sky is Everywhere and Carry On are here πŸ˜›

Review copies

Captive RebelCold Time: My Simulation Blunder

Well, I have no idea what these books are about. Captive Rebel seems to have good reviews and feels like fantasy. I don’t know what’s Cold Time about but its ratings are definitely good. Both these books are not due soon that’s why I accepted them πŸ˜€

Won in Giveaway

Fugitive Pieces

Yes this time too, a won a giveaway πŸ˜€ I finally got my first modern classic Fugitive Pieces published by Bloomsbury in their modern classics addition. My aim is to collect all10 books in this edition. They are beautiful.

Fantastic haul! <3 I loved The Sky is Everywhere – I also cried a lot while reading this. Is this your first Jandy Nelson book, or did you read I'll Give You The Sun? I'd recommend that one as well, it was so good. Jandy Nelson is one of my favorite authors, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one <3 I'm also impatient for you to read Simon vs., it is such a good book πŸ™‚

For the first time maybe ever, I didn’t add any new books to my shelves, and that definitely feels weird. In a good way, of course.
I’m glad you got your hands on And Ordinary Life before it was withdrawn from sale! That will make it extra special.
Enjoy all your new weeks and have a wonderful week ahead.

You got some wonderful books! Shadow and Bone starts one of my favorite series of all time! If you love fantasy, you are going to adore it. The Handmaid’s Tale is a classic and, sadly, still relevant to our times. Have a wonderful week.

Amazing haul! You got so many wonderful books this week. I’m in love with that edition of The Handmaid’s Tale. It’s so pretty. *.* I’m waiting for the box set of Shadow and Bone, but I bought the old covers (but since I love Leigh Bardugo so much I may buy the new covers too).

    Happy readings! πŸ˜‰
