Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga Reviews. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course Ebooks!

Happy Saturday guys!! How is 2018 treating you so far? Mine is going good, especially in terms of reading. It’s been just 13 days and I have already finished 4 books, which is my personal best πŸ˜› And guess what, I finished my first ever Agatha Christie book yesterday! And it was, as I was expecting, wonderful. Well more on that later.

I am going good so far towards my goal of purchasing less book in 2018. I haven’t actually bought a single book πŸ˜€ But yes, I haven’t stopped requesting on NetGalley. Whenever I log in to NetGalley, I just happen to request one or two books πŸ˜› But yes, now I am more careful before requesting anything.

Also, for the first time I requested a few books on Edelweiss and as expected they declined all my requests πŸ˜€ But I kind of knew that this would happen so I am not considering it much at the moment.

So as it happens, I have only two books this week to show you.

NetGalley ARCs

Everything Here is beautiful by Mira T. LeeTo Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

Both the covers are so beautiful, aren’t they? πŸ˜› I have high hopes for Everything Here Is Beautiful by Mira T. Lee. It is a story about the emotional journey of two sisters and have I told you I like stories involving sisters?:P And it includes mental health too! What can be better?

To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo is quite in talks these days within the blogger community and I looking forwarding to it. It would be my first fantasy read of the year πŸ™‚

Let's Chat

So that’s it for me guys for this week.

Is there any book in this list that you have read?

Is any of these books on your TBR? What have you added to your TBR in the last week of this year?

Leave me a link to your Stack, and I’ll check it out πŸ™‚ I’ll be back soon with another Stacking the Shelves post.

I bought a bunch of coursebooks the other day, all 17th-19th century novels. Other than that, I haven’t bought any books this year. I don’t really need any, but when does that stop any of us?

WOOT! I’m on my 4th book of the year–you’re just a bit ahead of me. πŸ˜‰ Unfortunately my reading might slow down since my last semester EVER as a high school student, so I’m pretty sure we’re going to be bombarded with homework, presentations and papers. D:

On the bright side, I’m reading To Kill a Kingdom right now and it’s SO good. I hope I end up enjoying it until the end, and I really hope you do as well! <3

Thanks Aimee 😊 I guess I would slow down too now considering I am going to be in a lot of pressure because of my office work 😜
I do hope to enjoy it too. I’ll start next month probably. It is going to release in March, I guess?

Thanks Marie πŸ˜ƒ It is just that after moving to the new city my travel time has increased a lot. It’s the only good thing about this city I guess 🀣
I have high hopes for To Kill A Kingdom too. Thank you 😊

I started Everything Here is Beautiful already this year and unfortunately it wasn’t for me and I DNF’ed it. I hope you have better luck. I’m keeping my finders crossed that I manage to snag an ARC of the other one. Enjoy them both!

That is wonderful that you haven’t purchased a book yet, I also need to cut down on my book purchases and read what I have. This year I started keeping track of what I actually spend on books, maybe that will help me set a monthly budget. Enjoy your new reads and have a wonderful week.

Well done on not buying any books this year so far! I’m trying to focus on reading my TBR this year but I did buy a couple of books already. NetGalley is so hard to resist though, isn’t it? I kind of wish there was a way of getting to the leave feedback page without seeing the new books on there because every time I write a review I seem to request a couple more books. Oops! Hope you enjoy reading your two new books this week πŸ™‚
