Happy Tuesday guys! Today’s original topic for TTT is Books I could re-read forever. I feel that this topic is not for me because I am the person who has never re-read a book simply because I have limited time and have so many pending books to read. So instead I have chosen a different topic and my topic is 10 TV series worth binge watch (and 5 honorary mentions 😀 ).
I know that this topic is nowhere related to books but I thought that this would be a good change. The other reason is that this month has been so bad for me that I rarely read anything and instead watched Netflix 😀 I guess, now you would understand my reason for selecting this topic instead.
I have listed all my favourite shows that I have watched till now. Some are old ones while a few are new. So let’s see my list 🙂
10 TV Series Worth Binge Watch
1. Game of Thrones
From IMDB: Nine noble families fight for control over the mythical lands of Westeros, while an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for thousands of years.
Are you even surprised that this show is on top of my list? Well if your answer is yes, then probably you shouldn’t 😀 I absolutely love this show and haven’t left any chance to praise it ever. In my opinion, it is one of the best shows that have been ever made. I haven’t read the books (and I am not even sure when will I do so) but still I can tell that the show is better 🙂 It has White Walkers, seven kingdoms, dragons, Kings and so many other interesting elements. What not to like? If you haven’t heard about this show ever, then you are probably living under a rock 😛
Okay, I know many people will say that there is nudity and all, but trust me that is just up to Season 2 in a major amount and as you progress further, the storyline just gets better. And my favourite character is Tyrion Lannister. I just love him! I should probably stop here, I don’t want this whole post to be about GoT 😀
2. Stranger Things
From IMDB: When a young boy disappears, his mother, a police chief, and his friends, must confront terrifying forces in order to get him back.
This is another fantastic show. I love all the characters and the story. Eleven is my favourite. Bith the seasons were good. I am too curious what will happen next. This show gives me the old time vibes 😀
3. Gilmore Girls
From IMDB: A dramedy centering around the relationship between a thirtysomething single mother and her teen daughter living in Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
Ooh, I love this show. When I started watching this I had no idea that I would love this so much. I finished all the seven seasons and Also A Year in Life within just one month! Can you believe this? I loved Lorelai. I loved Luke. I loved Rory. Lorelai and Rory’s relationship is wonderful so is Lorelai and Luke’s. And Rory is a book nerd. What else do you need? If you are a GG fan too, then DM me and we can probably rant over it 😀
4. How to Get Away With Murder
From IMDB: A group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defense professor become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives.
This is a perfect murder mystery. I love shows with suspense, strategies, and lawyers. The end of each episode would leave you speechless and you would be compelled to watch the next episode. Oh, this reminded me I have to watch the latest season somehow because ultimately, Netflix decided to not show the recent season in India yet?
5. Pretty Little Liars
From IMDB: Four friends band together against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their darkest secrets, while also investigating the disappearance of their best friend.
This show recently ended (well technically last year) and I was so sad when it ended. I loved the mystery of missing Alison throughout the series. All the characters were so amazing. Spencer was probably my favourite.
6. The Vampire Diaries
From IMDB: A young teen struggles to make a decision between two vampire brothers and their supernatural lives. Soon after she discovers the truth her whole world turns upside down.
This was probably the first show that I binge watched. This show introduced me to the world of vampires and werewolves and sirens. In the beginning, I liked Stephen but slowly and steadily Damon became my favourite 😀
7. The Originals
From IMDB: A family of power-hungry thousand year old vampires look to take back the city that they built and dominate all those who have done them wrong.
This is the spin-off series of The Vampire Diaries. This is about the Original vampires. I hated Klaus when he appeared in TVD but this show made me fall in love with him 🙂 I am eagerly waiting for the next season!
8. Prison Break
From IMDB: Due to a political conspiracy, an innocent man is sent to death row and his only hope is his brother, who makes it his mission to deliberately get himself sent to the same prison in order to break the both of them out, from the inside.
This is another show which almost everyone happens to know about and why shouldn’t they? It was brilliant especially the first season. All the things that Michael planned were just brilliant. However, I am yet to watch its latest season that came after a long break.
9. How I Met Your Mother
From IMDB: A father recounts to his children, through a series of flashbacks, the journey he and his four best friends took leading up to him meeting their mother.
This show was hilarious and emotional. A perfect package. Everyone has probably waited until the end of the show to know who the “title” mother was 😀 But the star of the show was definitely Barney Stinson aka Neil Patrick Harris.
10. Jane the Virgin
From IMDB: A young, devout Catholic woman discovers that she was accidentally artificially inseminated.
This is the recent addition to my list. I mean I have already watched all the seasons (except the current one) and I love this too much. You know what is my favourite thing about this show? It’s narrator! Yeah, the way he does the commentary is simply hilarious.
Here are 5 additional shows which are worth mentioning. All of them have just one series for now, except Girl Boss. I have linked each of them to IMDB so that you can check these out 🙂
- 13 Reasons Why
- Money Heist / La Casa De Papel
- The End of the F***ing World
- Everything Sucks!
Any other show that you would like to recommend?
Leave me your link to today’s Top Ten Tuesday and I will check it out 🙂
