So you know how every month I say that it went too quickly? Well not this month, absolutely NOT! This one was one of the dreaded months that I have in quite some time. I was just waiting for this month to be over somehow and I am glad that finally, it DID! Especially when you have a great first month of the year, it feels bad to have the next one as bad as this πŸ™

You’ll ask why? Because almost of the month I was in a slump and I don’t know why or how. I had no motivation to read. I barely finished 3 books comparing to 8 last month? Okay enough of babbling, let’s see all the things in details πŸ˜€

It's a brand new day

February Reads

Books Read
The Upside of Falling DownThe Hazel Wood by Melissa AlbertSimon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda

Yes, just 3 books πŸ™ But at least I read something at all, right? I finished The Upside of Falling Down in the first week of Feb itself and it was freaking good and cute. If you are a contemporary fan, then you have to read this. Then I picked up Hazel Wood, and well it took me almost the whole to finish! I guess this is the book because of which I went to slump? Because everyone was having amazing reviews about it and I had the pressure to finish it off anyway? I think the hype got me and I didn’t like it as much as I expected πŸ™ Well I’ll post the full review soon. And the last, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. Do I need to say anything about this book? I finished this just yesterday night and OMG it was incredible, adorable, hilarious and freaking cute. I was grinning throughout the story. Trust me it is so worth a read. If you haven’t read it yet, I would 1000% recommend it before the movie comes πŸ˜€ Okay, I guess I should stop fangirling now otherwise this whole post would be about Simon πŸ˜€ I’ll post the review soon πŸ™‚

I Just Have A Lot of Feelings

I was pretty excited about this post and this overall Blogging 101 series. Unfortunately, this post didn’t get as much love as I expected. Maybe because I came back after a week’s hiatus and totally posted it at the wrong time?

On the Big Screen

Tv Series

Haha, at least this is the part where I actually did well this month. I watched Netflix, a lot. I discovered many new shows. Money Heist / La Casa De Papel is a Spanish show which was recommended by Shruti @ This is Lit and it was amazing! If you love heists and planning and plotting kind of shows, then you have to watch this. Basically, if you loved Prison break, then chances are you will love this show too πŸ™‚

Another show that I watched is Everything Sucks! and don’t go over the name. The show doesn’t suck at all and is actually kind of cute of interesting πŸ™‚

The first movie that I should have watched this month? Yes, Black Panther! It was just incredible. All the cast, action, story.. everything was amazing. Even if you don’t like superhero movies, trust me you would like it πŸ™‚ My husband doesn’t usually like watching Hollywood movies and too in 3D, but guess what, even he loved this! So I can safely suggest you to watch it too πŸ˜€

Then we have our Bollywood movie Padman. It was a good one. I really appreciate how Akshay is making different kinds of films these days.

Also, I watched a Netflix movie When We First Met. It was kind of cute and cheesy. I would say, I perfect way to end the month of love, February πŸ™‚

Around the Blogosphere

This time I have many posts to share with you. If you have missed them earlier, now is the right time to check them πŸ™‚

In Real Life / Other Things

** Well, as I am telling throughout the post that I was in a slump, so I read too less. I don’t even know how I ended up in that position. I barely had the motivation to read.

** We went to a friend’s wedding and we enjoyed a lot. We danced too much and then slept for straight 11 hours when we returned home πŸ˜€

** We completed 3 years of our marriage this month πŸ™‚

I can’t remember anything special to share with you guys πŸ™ (this was seriously such a boring month)

Things I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

** I am excited for March. I think because of the book that I finished yesterday, yes Simon, I am out of my slump now. Now I can tell you that cute contemporary works like a charm anytime, at least for me πŸ™‚

** I am hoping to watch the Love, Simon movie because I can’t wait now. I really hope for it to release in my city.

** March is basically International women’s month, so I am participating in #FemmeMarchFest readathon by @theliquidsunset and #femmemarch by @thebooksatchel. #FemmeMarchFest is basically a month-long readathon where we are going to read books by female authors. I am excited because there are so many amazing books on my TBR πŸ˜€

** Tomorrow is one of our famous festival, Holi, but sadly in the state, I am living, there is no holiday πŸ™ But we have celebrations in the office itself and anyways, you don’t need a holiday to eat sweets, right? πŸ˜›

Oh no being in a slump really sucks πŸ™ I hope you get out of it soon, find new motivation and that March is a better month! β™₯
For me February seemed to be over in a flash, but I definitely agree that sometimes month drag and feel like they go on forever.
I’m certainly going to check out your Contact Page post! It’s always sad when a post you really put work in goes a bit unnoticed :/
While my February was stressful, I read a lot of books I really loved, including a lot of rereads! πŸ˜€

    1. Post

Thanks Caro 😊 Well I guess I am out of the slump since I read Simon πŸ˜ƒ It was freaking amazing ❀️
Yeah this month was too long me.. and how ironic it is considering it is the shortest month of the year πŸ˜‚
Thank you for checking that out. I guess I was not able to promote that post properly 😐
Wow, seems like you had an amazing reading month πŸ˜ƒ I hope March is even better for you ❀️

  2. Jeanna

I’m so happy you loved Simon! I haven’t read it yet but I will definitely pick it up before the movie. I’m on the fence about starting The Hazel Wood because there is such a hype surrounding it still. And I still haven’t been able to watch Black Panther. Every time I want to go, it is always sold out; can you believe it? Hopefully, in a few weeks, I’ll be able to snag a seat in the theater.

Plus, I absolutely adore your set up for your monthly wrap ups! Happy reading!

Thanks Jeanna! Oh please read Simon. It is so adorable. I guess I am in book hangover now πŸ˜‚ Can you believe it? A book hangover after a slump? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ This is surely gonna be fun!
Oh please start Hazel Wood. They are people who loved it. I guess I am not used to that much fantasy and that could have been the negative thing for me. But I hope you enjoy it 😊
Ahh it is so bad. I’ll pray that you get ticket this weekend atleast πŸ˜ƒ That movie is seriously good!
Aww thanks! This time I did this wrap up little different. Thank you for liking it 😊

  3. Tiffany Chiang

OOO I’m so excited for you to read “In Order to Live”. When I was in Taiwan, I read the first few chapters in a bookstore, and I immediately was overwhelmed with emotions. Her story of escaping North Korea is incredible. Can’t wait for you to write a review too!!

Even one book is better than no reading at all! I was in a slump for half the month too, although I hit NetGalley too and got so many books! I couldn’t stay away from it no matter how much I tried.
I heard of those TV shows and they are on my to-watch-list on Netflix.

I am sure March will be a much better month for reading!

  7. TΓ’nia @MyLovelySecret

I’m sorry that February was such a bad month for you. I hate reading slumps! They are the worse! But I’m sure March will be a lot better. πŸ™‚ That’s a huge book haul! I hope you enjoy all of your new books – from that list I’ve only read Paramnesia.

    Happy readings! πŸ˜‰

Oh, you read Paramnesia? How’s it?

  8. Fanna

I’m so sorry Feb brought a reading slump for you, mine was almost the same so you’re not alone (if that makes you smile!) though I see you have got some amazing titles through all the requesting you have done. Can’t wait to read your review of Simon VS and The Hazel Wood! Also, three years of marriage? That’s awesome and congratulations! Your reading challenges seem to be steady though the reading goals weren’t met with, I’m sure you’ll nail them in the next months. AND BLACK PANTHER WAS SO GOOD <3 <3 I loved your mini reviews you started this month and can't wait for more of those! And it was so much fun to have you over for the interview, I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did <3 Good luck, Simant for March!

Thanks Fanna! I seriously hope March to be better πŸ™‚ Actually, it was Hazel Wood that brought the slump πŸ™ You would be disappointed to read my review because you loved it so much. However Simon was amazing πŸ™‚
Haha, thanks to you for that idea of mini-reviews. Though I saw them earlier too but yours make me write them myself πŸ˜›

  9. Olivia-Savannah

I am so sorry you were in a slump for a lot of the month! But you did still manage to read three books which is always better than 0 or 1! Congratulations on your wedding anniversary and to the couple whose wedding you attended in the past month. I am so happy you loved Black Panther too! Hope March is going better for you :3

Oh Blank Panther was amazing. I hope they bring the sequel soon πŸ˜ƒ

    1. Post

Haha I can totally understand πŸ˜ƒ Now you are married, so obviously you are going to find it hard to find time for reading. That’s why I also am not able to finish one book a week 😜
