State of the ARC is a monthly meme hosted by Avalinah’s Books which is meant to motivate you to finish up all your long overdue ARCs (Advanced or Early Reader Copies). You can track your reading progress and link up with your own post. Most commonly it comes out on the 30th of every month.
Rules of State of the ARC:
- Mention that you’re linking up with State of the ARC @ AvalinahsBooks, which is a fun way to share our ARC progress, challenges, wins, woes and mishaps.
- Include the link to this post, or the current State of the ARC post. You can use my State of the ARC image too.
- Don’t forget to visit all the other people in the link-up and comment.
- And most importantly – have fun!

As I already told in my wrap-up post how bad February was for me, I am not gonna repeat it here. I only read 3 books in February but the good thing is 2 of those were ARCs 😀 However my unread number has increased and is out of control again all thanks to the lovely review copies and ARCs I got 😀 #sorrynotsosorry
Without delaying further, let’s talk about my current state.
Current state of the ARC
I know the numbers are not that good but I am still happy about it 😀 I have decided to not overstress about the overdue ARCs and instead focus on the ARCs which are still not due 🙂 However, I will try to keep an eye on overdue ones too 🙂 But I am definitely trying to increase my feedback ratio which currently is just 39% 🙁
Bricks Knocked Down
So I read two ARCs as I told earlier but was able to review just one.
The Upside of Falling Down by Rebekah Crane was too good. I loved it and would definitely recommend to you if you are a fan of contemporary and like slow-burning romance 😀
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert was a difficult read for me. I know that this is an unpopular opinion considering the hype and the positive reviews, but I didn’t like it as much as I expected. It was too dark and fantasy world was tough for me to understand. I’ll post the full review soon.
In the works
I am currently reading To Kill A Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. I am not even half-way through the book, but oh boy! It is so good so far. Actually, this is the kind of fantasy that I can take in. I can tell you that this book is gonna be awesome 😀
Let’s get motivated
I am not sure which ARCs I am going to read this month. We are celebrating this month as women’s month so I am going to only read books by female authors or about women. For the time being, I am choosing only two ARCs which I might pick up.
That’s my State of the ARC in March.
