Guys! This book was so amazing I can’t even! It was brilliant. I haven’t read many fantasy books (in fact I haven’t read many books, lol) but this was like straight from a movie. If you have watched and loved Pirates of Carribean, then it’s for sure that you would love this book. It has Pirates, sirens, mermaids, mermen, kings & queens, kingdoms. What else do you need for a perfect story? 😀

Okay, so today I am posting the review of a book which is currently in too much hype and was actually one of the most anticipated reads of many, including mine. But I didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected. This is so sad considering the beautiful cover (the alternate edition) and the blurb gave so much hope to me 🙁 In fact, I realize it now, that I went into a reading slump last month because of this book only. It was too dragged. In simple words, this book was not for me.
So my first ever mini review post 😀 Actually I was inspired by Fanna @ Fannatality to do so after reading here latest mini review post. If you haven’t guessed till now, then I would like to tell that these reviews are pending since ages. I don’t have much to say about these books so I don’t want to do a full post featuring these considering the amount of time I take to write a single post 🙁 But after seeing Fanna’s post, I was motivated to do so 😀 So let’s move to the reviews. I hope you would like them.
The word second chance is ambitious in itself, isn’t it? How many of us actually get a second chance for correcting our deeds? Perhaps, Shekhar Kapoor got his second chance.
This is a story about billionaire Shekhar Kapoor, owner of Aerowalk shoes. He did many wrong things to remain in the industry and is quite arrogant because of his money. He destroyed lives of many people because of his desires to always be on top. But then, something happens which he didn’t believe “can happen to him because he was rich”. Yes, the death!
Do you guys read middle grade or children’s books? Do you enjoy them? I certainly do. So when the author asked me to review his debut book, I couldn’t refuse it because of first thing, look at the cover! And it is fantasy, so who could refuse? Because, children + fantasy = Best combination!
When I won this book in a giveaway on Instagram, I was like super excited. I didn’t know what was this book about exactly. I just saw this book doing rounds on Instagram. So I was excited to get my hands on it. When it arrived, I instantly decided that it is going to be my next read, and alas! Here we are. I have never been so happy after reading a book that I got in a giveaway. This book was absolutely magical!
Why I was intrigued towards reading this was because of the title itself: Harappa. I have never read anything about this civilization, of course except the course books. So, when I got a chance to review this book I, I grabbed it instantly. And I was not disappointed at all.
The story starts when Vidyut Shashtri, the main protagonist of the story, is called upon to Varanasi where his great-grandfather, Dwarka Shashtri, is on deathbed. Vidyut is a successful entrepreneur and an eligible bachelor who lives with her girlfriend Damini who is a journalist. When Vidyut reaches Varanasi, his great-grandfather starts telling him the story of the curse that has been brought upon his entire generation and the humankind by his ancestor Vivasvan Shatri.
Before starting this book, I knew that it is about Russian revolution, about which I know nothing. But, I didn’t even tried to know about it and was just relied on the book itself. I believed that being a classic and of a different era, it will be difficult to read and understand, but to my contrary believe, it was funny, entertaining and a perfect satire. I really enjoyed the overall journey of Manor Farm becoming the Animal Farm and then converting back to the Manor Farm. The story is about a farm where all the animals took over the farm by pushing out the farm’s owner……
