I have never been so confused before about the rating of a book. I struggled to give this story between 3.5 and 4 stars and eventually settled on the later one because of the unique concept that it portrays. The Marriage Pact is a psychological suspense thriller with an interesting plot. Eventually, in the west, the rate with which the marriages are failing, is pretty high. In such a world, would you be prepared to do anything to make your marriage successful?
There are two kinds of interesting books. One that you totally enjoy based on the plot and characters. The other is one that you don’t only enjoy but also consider as your true self and it convinces you that it is your story. This book falls into the latter category.
The word second chance is ambitious in itself, isn’t it? How many of us actually get a second chance for correcting our deeds? Perhaps, Shekhar Kapoor got his second chance.
This is a story about billionaire Shekhar Kapoor, owner of Aerowalk shoes. He did many wrong things to remain in the industry and is quite arrogant because of his money. He destroyed lives of many people because of his desires to always be on top. But then, something happens which he didn’t believe “can happen to him because he was rich”. Yes, the death!
Happy Friday Guys! Today I am going to post my review in a different style- Bullet point style, hence the title. This review style is inspired by Marie from Drizzle & Hurricane books. When I saw her review, I instantly made up my mind to some reviews in that style. I think I am going …
There are some books which make you feel happy and leaves you with a light mood. Then there are a few which are on difficult topics and make you want to discuss the theme. And finally there are a few ones which neither have a difficult topic nor the entertaining one, but yet they make you question your surroundings and beliefs. A Window to Her Dreams falls in the last category.
Before reading any further, just keep one thing in mind: This book is NOT just what the title says! I know, whenever anyone sees this title, the first thing that comes to mind is that it contains just the erotic stories. So if anyone doesn’t read Erotica, (s)he will certainly not pick this. Even, I thought so in the place but since I like reading Erotica, I didn’t mind. But today, when I am writing this review, I am really happy that I read this book. It has some erotic stories but yet it is a tale of self-being and expressing your desires openly. This book has so much going on beyond the steamy title.
John Green was already one of my favourite authors before reading this book. I had read just The Fault in Our Stars by him yet I liked him. His writing is so raw and real. When I finished this book, I was not sure how to write its review. Whether to be happy or to be sad. I was conflicted literally because of the ending? I am not sure if it was meant to end like that or it was on purpose? But yet, I love the overall book. But here, I should definitely mention that I would have enjoyed it way more if I would have read it like 3-4 years back.
I won this book in a giveaway so I had no idea what this book was about (Yes I just enter randomly sometimes 😛 ). I just saw the opportunity to grab the book and I did. But the main reason why I decided to enter the giveaway in the first place was its title. Don’t you think the title is different and suspenseful? Well, the THC stands for The Holistic Center. It’s a fictional center setup in the story where the broken hearts are cured, those looking for closure get insights and return to the world with repaired soul.
Before starting this book, I had heard so many great things about it. I never heard anything bad about this, so obviously my expectations were high about this. And yes, it didn’t disappoint me. In fact, it was way too good for my imagination. There are some stories which touch you deeply, and surely it was one of them. This is a story about 11 years old August Pullman who doesn’t have a normal face. He has a rare medical facial deformity, which he refers to as “mandibulofacial dysostosis”, more commonly known as Treacher Collins syndrome and a cleft palate. After his birth, he went through multiple operations on his face to look like what he was now.
Before starting this book, I knew that it is about Russian revolution, about which I know nothing. But, I didn’t even tried to know about it and was just relied on the book itself. I believed that being a classic and of a different era, it will be difficult to read and understand, but to my contrary believe, it was funny, entertaining and a perfect satire. I really enjoyed the overall journey of Manor Farm becoming the Animal Farm and then converting back to the Manor Farm. The story is about a farm where all the animals took over the farm by pushing out the farm’s owner……
